Concerto for the Big Three. Violinist-conductor and former S.F. Symphony concertmaster Stuart Canin has performed before myriad celebrities, but perhaps his most exclusive gig was in 1945, when he performed privately for Truman, Churchill and Stalin as they worked out Germany’s surrender.

“Potsdam Revisited: Overture to the Cold War” tells his story, with the screening followed by a re-creation of the concert by Canin himself and a discussion with the filmmakers. 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 18 at JCC East Bay, 1414 Walnut St., Berkeley. $14. www.jcceastbay.org
